Create websites easily with Jimdo

create websites with jimdo

If making websites just isn't your thing, why not let Jimdo help.

Jimdo is an easy to use web page creation service. Users simply sign in and create a free account, incorporating pictures from Flickr, text, and videos from YouTube in a Jimdo page.

Elements on webpages can be changed with a single click, and there are no page limits. Users can totally customize pages, from background colors, to layout styles, colors and navigation. Everything is so easy to use, it's a joy. The most computer illiterate individual should get a grasp quite quickly as to whets going on, enabling them to build their own custom websites within no time.

There are a few Jimdo plans, a free one that gives users sites under the Jimdo.com domain and 500 MB of space, and another plan for 5 Euros/month that allows users to grab their own domain name to use with 5GB of space.

Google Gadgets can now be added to any webpage

google gadgets for webpagesGoogle announced today that their specially designed gadgets can be added to any webpage. Google Gadgets were locked into Google Personalized Home and Google Desktop, but now with the breakout of the gadgets, websites are sure to get some nice dynamic and rich content additions.

Currently developed Google Gadgets include Google maps, date & time, jokes, games, news reports, flight status, webcams, and sports scores. Gadgets can also be developed from scratch with the Google Gadget API. I look forward to seeing some intuitive additions of Google Gadgets onto websites.

The final release will depend on user feedback from a beta release version. Microsoft has said that along with Atlas, we will see the release of certified Atlas products that will work in conjunction with Visual Studio 2005, and ASP.Net. Atlas will be launched into two main categories. A JavaScript library called AJAX Library, and Server side components which will be called ASP.Net 2.0 AJAX Extensions.

Drag and Share Files with AllPeers

allpeers file sharing in firefox

AllPeers has begun offering a public beta version of their Firefox file sharing utility. DLS originally dropped the news on AllPeers back in December while it was in development, and little was known about it then. Now the secret is out, and available for people to start using. AllPeers is a Firefox extension for easily sharing files with your contacts. Sharing files and folders is as simple as dragging them onto your friend's names and clicking 'Share'. Sharing webpages and photos from the web is easy as well. Just drag the web page tab or photo directly onto your friend's name. Of course you have to have friends in your contact list to share with, and that is as simple as adding a contact's email address to invite them. No more transferring large files via email, AllPeers makes it a lot easier.

The World's Hardest Game 2.0 - Time Waster

So, just how good at time waster games are you? Think you've got the stuff? Well, The World's Hardest Game 2.0 doesn't think you do. Yes, amazingly, it's possible to have a sequel to a game called "The World's Hardest Game". It doesn't seem logically possible, since if the first one was actually the world's hardest, how could another one come along and share the moniker? It made me doubt the name in the first place. That is, until I tried the game. The mechanics of the game are very simple. You are a small red square, ...
