Dinky Page is a lightweight web page editor and hosting service, ideal for creating example pages or quickly hosting some information you need to share. If you have something to put up on the fly, and you need an HTML page, but not an entire blog, Dinky Page might be the perfect solution. You'll have to host your images and videos somewhere else, but that's not a big problem when people increasing have accounts on sites like Flickr, YouTube and Vimeo.

You only have to click one button to get started making a page on Dinky Page. From there, you can use the site's visual editor, or start writing or pasting your own HTML. Javascript and flash are supported, as is embedding. The downside of not having to register for Dinky Page is that there's no account you can log into to edit a pre-published page. Instead, you'll have to save the link Dinky Page gives you when you publish.

If you have ever had the need to create a quick and dirty webpage for a last minute party, or even to provide more information for the item you are listing for sale on Craigslist, Jottit could be your savior.

Users start off on the plain and simple Jottit home page. All that is provided is a textbox where users can input any text they wish. When you click "Create a page," text will then show up on an editable page in a wiki-like format. From there, pages can be edited and revised as well as marked private, public (viewers would require a password to edit it) or open so that anyone can edit and view it as they wish. Jottit then provides a unique URL in which the page can than be accessed.

It doesn't stop there however. Users can then customize things even further with Jottit's settings. Users are given the option of creating a full website with multiple pages and a URL that is easier to remember. i.e. http://downloadsquad.jottit.com/ with numerous subpages that have images, video and anything else that can be accessed with an embedding code option to create a better user experience and more robust web presence.

Yahoo! has been quietly testing out a new video feature on its homepage: inline videos.

If you have wondered by Yahoo.com over the past few weeks you may have noticed videos such as Barry Bonds breaking the all time home run record, or exclusive Daily Show footage. These were embedded using a preview version of the new inline video player technology that Yahoo! has developed. The service has been rolled out in a new video module that can be found wherever there is a 'play video' button. It allows users to watch videos without leaving a web page. This includes in both email and IM.

Its great staying inside one browser window, especially to watch videos. We all know how tabbed windows seem to grow quite quickly. Yahoo! is the first portal to enable this video technology, with more videos scheduled to launch this week.

It was reported yesterday that the desire to be able to email pieces of the web would be greatly desired on multiple platforms and in Firefox. Well my fellow readers, that time has come. Today's add-on is JKN's Amazing Webpage Emailer (AWE).

With AWE installed in Firefox, you are able to email entire webpages to anyone you know, whether they are password protected, session specific, require registration or even have framesets. And when I say entire webpages, I mean entire. Everything from text fields that are filled in, to Google ads in the side of the page. And you can do it in four different ways (in detail after the jump). Each way will result in a new tab or browser window opening to JKN's site, which is where you input who you want to send it to (email addresses and an optional name), the subject of the email and the body of the email.

Joe Kraus of Jotspot, has announced today that they have been acquired by Google. Jotspot is a leader in hosted wiki application development. Jotspot was founded in 2004 as the first company to offer this type of hosted wiki solution. Jotspot's goal was to make wiki websites that anyone could update and add to, without knowing coding. Jotspot had a simple WYSIWYG editor, with advanced search and email integration components. Jotspot was not only aimed at smaller personal projects, it was also aimed at corporate intranets, project management, and help desks.

Jotspots hosted plans once sat from a $199 month for 5000 hosted wiki pages with unlimited users. To a simple Personal account with 5 users, 10 pages, for free. Could we possibly see the integration of one giant free plan from Google?

Currently, Jotspot is offline to users. The Palo Alto based company says to stay tuned to regain access to the system. Google is most likely merging all data and transferring the Jot system over to Google's servers. This is an exciting move by Google, again, in the online application environment, adding to their online suite of applications with the likes of Documents, Calendar, Gmail, Spreadsheets, and Apps for your Domain.

Sometimes we want to let the whole world know what we're up to. I mean everything. We have blogs, webcams, chat rooms, and tons of other things to let us communicate with people. A lot of people take pride in what music they listen to and like to share it with others. Whether for just the public eye or to see if anyone else likes the same kind of music, you still need a way of getting it on the web easily. iTunes Publisher does just that. Currently at 4.3.3, it's a great little program that let's you export your iTunes library in a number of ways. You can customize it by font and look, what columns you want shown (Artist, Album, Song, etc.), and how you want your data exported. The best way is probably via a webpage. It's listed nice and neat with tables so that everyone can just scroll away. Plus it's one file and you can easily upload it and update it anywhere. I highly reccomend checking it out if sharing your musical tastes with the world is your sorta thing.
