Say goodbye to Yahoo! Mail tagline advertisements
Once upon a time, signing up for a free email account meant bombarding everyone you ever sent a message to with in-message advertisements. But those days are long gone. Or at least a few days gone. Yahoo! has removed the tagline advertisements that had been automatically appended to any message sent from a free email account.
We haven't done an extensive survey of free webmail providers, but we believe this means you can send ad-free messages with Yahoo! Mail and Gmail, while AOL and Windows Live Hotmail still tacks a message to the bottom of each email. If you know of any other ad-free, or ad-saturated services, let us know in the comments.

With Halloween fast approaching, it's a great time to get in some practice defending your territory against zombies. In Graveyard Shift, you take aim at zombies and other creepy-crawlies, blasting them into splatters of cartoony green guts. It's a casual first-person shooter, and it's very easy to get the hang of - use the mouse to aim, click to fire. Graveyard Shift has at least 15 levels, and it might even have some secret stages I haven't unlocked yet.
