Stikkit, online note taker

stikkit online note takerThis simply designed online note taker is extremely easy to use and pleasant as well. Its clean and easy interface makes it a joy to use. Stikkit isn't as simple as it looks, though. Picture your classic yellow sticky note pads, with a brain of their own. Stikkit actually pays attention to what you type. If it catches you writing a note about an appointment or a task, it will drop it into a calendar, or task list. It even has a little RSS integration, so you can feed your Stikkits into your favorite desktop reader to remind you. Pretty cool. There is only one issue I have with the app: no notifications. I would love to see it shoot me an email when there is a task or calendar item that comes up on its deadline. Or maybe even a text message. In all, Stikkit is a great, simple online application where you can keep your small notes.

P.S. This is exactly what Gmail needs.

Posticky: Sticky notes for the web

PostickyPosticky is not unlike the many, many personal home page sites where you can cover your browser windowfull of real estate with little widgets, except that Posticky only has one widget: the humble sticky note. Since many of said personal home pages provide sticky note functionality, the reasons for choosing Posticky aren't overwhelmingly numerous, but it does have a few compelling features. Most interesting is its mobile capabilities: From Posticky's web interface you can send notes to your phone, or by sending a text message or e-mail to note@posticky.com you can create a new note. There's also a mobile interface that lets you create and read notes from your web-enabled phone, and Posticky also has a reminder function that lets you make a note into a SMS or e-mail reminder. Unfortunately, Posticky is still in alpha and a bit buggy in Firefox 1.5, and given the competition it's unclear whether it will be able to carve a niche for itself, but, as always, I'm sure someone will find it useful.

The World's Hardest Game 2.0 - Time Waster

So, just how good at time waster games are you? Think you've got the stuff? Well, The World's Hardest Game 2.0 doesn't think you do. Yes, amazingly, it's possible to have a sequel to a game called "The World's Hardest Game". It doesn't seem logically possible, since if the first one was actually the world's hardest, how could another one come along and share the moniker? It made me doubt the name in the first place. That is, until I tried the game. The mechanics of the game are very simple. You are a small red square, ...
