Pendulumeca - Today's Time Waster
Pendulumeca is my kind of Flash game: Easy to learn, tricky to play, and absolutely addicting. The goal is to move a little mech as far as you can across a field of spikes. This is no platformer, though: Your only means of locomotion is a rope you shoot out like Spiderman to swing from the ceiling, and once you start there's no rest and no turning back. If you hit a gap in the ceiling or fire too long a rope, you may crash into the spikes below. You progress to a new level after swinging 500 meters (but like I said, there's no rest, not even between levels), and the higher your level the larger and more frequent the gaps in the ceiling become. Pendulumeca is a great coffee break game but beware, it's hard to stop playing. As usual, post your high scores in the comments![Thanks, Phi!]
With Halloween fast approaching, it's a great time to get in some practice defending your territory against zombies. In Graveyard Shift, you take aim at zombies and other creepy-crawlies, blasting them into splatters of cartoony green guts. It's a casual first-person shooter, and it's very easy to get the hang of - use the mouse to aim, click to fire. Graveyard Shift has at least 15 levels, and it might even have some secret stages I haven't unlocked yet.
They key to getting good at Graveyard Shift is learning to use ...
