New York Times Travel Guides - Today's time-waster
If you're planning on doing some traveling to New York City soon you're in luck. The New York Times just made finding your way a lot easier with their New York Times Travel Guides map. A Google Maps mashup designed to make it easy to check out popular locations in the city.The New York City map mashup drops icons on places to stay, dining locations, attractions, and also gives out seasonal information. The New York Times also has map mashups for San Francisco, Toronto, and Miami.

With Halloween fast approaching, it's a great time to get in some practice defending your territory against zombies. In Graveyard Shift, you take aim at zombies and other creepy-crawlies, blasting them into splatters of cartoony green guts. It's a casual first-person shooter, and it's very easy to get the hang of - use the mouse to aim, click to fire. Graveyard Shift has at least 15 levels, and it might even have some secret stages I haven't unlocked yet.
