Scratch - Today's Free File
My buddy Wise (a real DJ) would cringe at the
sight of this app. It's a mouse-based loop scratcher. Torment the cats! It's pretty simple: load an audio file, then
get to whippin' that mouse around for those crazy DJ scratch noises. There are scant settings, which I suppose is a
good thing... Anyway, it's a very simple app, with one real purpose. Great for working in apps like Acid though, making
your own scratch loops. The developer could probably refrain from using all those exclamation points in the description,
but at least it's Y2K compliant, which is why it still works, right? AnalogX makes a bunch of crazy apps, so if Scratch
isn't your cup of tea, there might be something else on the site to interest you...
With Halloween fast approaching, it's a great time to get in some practice defending your territory against zombies. In Graveyard Shift, you take aim at zombies and other creepy-crawlies, blasting them into splatters of cartoony green guts. It's a casual first-person shooter, and it's very easy to get the hang of - use the mouse to aim, click to fire. Graveyard Shift has at least 15 levels, and it might even have some secret stages I haven't unlocked yet.
