Microsoft claims Belkin violated patent
Microsoft has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Belkin, claiming Belkin violated their US patent for peripherals, by importing a product that infringes on Microsoft's U2 port sensing technology. For once, Microsoft is on the other end of a lawsuit. Most of the time they are the ones in trouble. I guess it just means that life isn't so unfair after all. Microsoft had tried to get Belkin to license its own technology to avoid this lawsuit, but to no avail. I guess this means that Belkin is confident in their legal team? Microsoft already licenses their technology to many other companies, wants Belkin to do the same, and isn't seeking monetary damages against Belkin...yet.[Via InformationWeek]
With Halloween fast approaching, it's a great time to get in some practice defending your territory against zombies. In Graveyard Shift, you take aim at zombies and other creepy-crawlies, blasting them into splatters of cartoony green guts. It's a casual first-person shooter, and it's very easy to get the hang of - use the mouse to aim, click to fire. Graveyard Shift has at least 15 levels, and it might even have some secret stages I haven't unlocked yet.
