Weird Wednesday flashback edition: Tele Hypnosis

Before there was Weird Wednesday, we had Freaky Friday Find -- a crazy app every week. Nearly 3 years ago I wrote a piece on an app called Tele Hypnosis, and guess what? That app still exists. Yes, you too can remotely control whomever you wish, all for the low, low price of $99. Unlike those darned fairies, this thing has no rules; you can make someone love you, cheat at math, or get your kids off drugs.

What's incredible is Tifareth has actually grown in the past 3 years, and there's an entire suite of hypno applications. Try the Studio Pro app to "Be full protected of all types of black magick, sorcery, goetia and psychic attacks." There are also add-ons in the form of sigils and symbols. As an added bonus, Tifareth offers Tarot readings online. One more thing: a full Radionic Workstation! Priced to move at $599, but you do get the app customized for your good/neutral/chaotic needs.

Does it work? Unfortunately I'm unable to access the parts of my memory where all my thorough tests were conducted. And the research is strangely missing from my hard drive. But here's a link to the original post.

Zone out with BrainWave Generator

BrainWave GeneratorFellow blogger Victor has dabbled in computerized hypnotism, but I'll have to ask him if he's tried BrainWave Generator. It's a Windows shareware app (30 day trial after which you pay $40) that plays specific sound frequencies to each of your ears, which will "take you to the state of mind you want." At least, that's what the BrainWave Generator web site says. Among the laundry list of possible uses claimed by the BrainWave Generator are:
  • Relaxation and meditation by entraining your brain into desired states
  • Enhancement of learning capabilities (super learning)
  • Sleep induction (for treating insomnia or just for falling asleep quicker)
  • Focusing attention and enhancing awareness
  • Alleviation of headaches and migraines, as well as other pain
  • Preparation for stressful situations
  • Self hypnosis and/or subliminal programming
You can also save the audio output from the BrainWave Generator and take it with you on your iPod, for really zoning out at work.

Tele Hypnosis - Freaky Friday Find

tele hypnosisThis is about the freakiest I've seen so far. And I'm not going to debate whether this works or not either. Hypnosis is real, I can say that much. Whether or not Tele Hypnosis (frames page, sorry) will actually hypnotize you or anyone else... That, as usual, will depend. All that being said, be forewarned. I had to use up two of my allotted 20 uses (it's shareware limit) just configuring the thing. You'll have to find a pic of a person you wish to hypnotize (because you can do this remotely it seems), and save that into the "photographies" folder. English is not the developer's first language, as you will discover. Then you have to go into this little app called RIN, and divine the "Radionic Index Number," based on staring at their photograph. Once you've done this, you're only a few questions away from the message screen. When you are ready, you'll click on "BEGIN TRANSMISSION" and the screen will flash between 2 colors, as you gaze upon the pic of the person you're trying to control. There is other stuff on the screen, but I'll save the comedy view for your own discovery. It reminded me of the credits sequence in "Bananas" really.

Find out what you can do with this after the jump.

The World's Hardest Game 2.0 - Time Waster

So, just how good at time waster games are you? Think you've got the stuff? Well, The World's Hardest Game 2.0 doesn't think you do. Yes, amazingly, it's possible to have a sequel to a game called "The World's Hardest Game". It doesn't seem logically possible, since if the first one was actually the world's hardest, how could another one come along and share the moniker? It made me doubt the name in the first place. That is, until I tried the game. The mechanics of the game are very simple. You are a small red square, ...
