Skip the hotel, rent a room from a home owner with iStopOver

Whether you're hoping to save a few bucks on your next excursion or you prefer to blend in with locals, istopover will help you find homeowners with rooms to rent short term so you can skip the hotel. As you'd expect, many of the properties are rented out by people who travel often themselves.

$159CDN doesn't seem too shabby for a 2 bedroom, 2 bath duplex overlooking San Francisco's East Bay, especially considering that also includes access to the owner's wifi, Wii, and plasma TV. Heck, you can even rent his 2006 Volvo while you're in town, too.

Looking for a real bargain and aren't particular about where you're traveling to? Check out the listings for Toronto. Less than two Hamiltons will get you a room with some folks that will probably play Rock Band with you during your stay.

Trivop hotel videoguides

Sometimes you just cant get a good picture of the hotel you are thinking about booking for a vacation or business travel. The pictures on travel websites might be too small, and of course they only show you the good angles, so it could be a gamble when booking; until now.

Trivop is a Google Maps mashup site that actually walks users through the hotel of their choice with actual video. Video cameras pan through the hotels surroundings, reception lobby, restaurants, and rooms to give users the full experience of what the hotel offers.

Trivop is currently only available in France and England, with a limited selection of hotels. To beef up the hotel offerings, Trivop will gladly accept your video for the website in order to help other travelers in a new feature that will launch in the near future.

The World's Hardest Game 2.0 - Time Waster

So, just how good at time waster games are you? Think you've got the stuff? Well, The World's Hardest Game 2.0 doesn't think you do. Yes, amazingly, it's possible to have a sequel to a game called "The World's Hardest Game". It doesn't seem logically possible, since if the first one was actually the world's hardest, how could another one come along and share the moniker? It made me doubt the name in the first place. That is, until I tried the game. The mechanics of the game are very simple. You are a small red square, ...
