Google Maps Mashup your way to an iPhone
Many people are anticipating the launch of Apple's iPhone Friday at 6pm. To ensure you know where they are going to be before you set out on your overnight camping expedition this evening, we have a Google Map Mashup for you to check out.
http://iPhone.Findnearby.Net has been set up to show iPhone fanatics where they can go purchase the device on Friday, or anytime after the launch. The Mashup takes AT&T and Apple stores where iPhone are selling, together with eBay and Craigslist listings and plots them on a Google Map. Users can then search any US location up to a 200 mile radius from a location. There is also an option that will email you when an iPhone becomes available in your area. Good Luck!

Locate your IM contacts with radiusIM
Check out who's around you via a map, and message friends with radiusIM. Neat concept. In radiusIM, you choose your location, with your friends list on the right and a location map on the left. When friends and IM contacts are online, their icons show up in their specific location on the map. radiusIM have integrated an interesting privacy and security blurring feature on the location map as well. 1/4 mile around the area of a contact is actually blurred out so that their precise location can remain semi-hidden. radiusIM requires a browser to operate, and is not a downloadable application.Unfortunately, I was not successful in signing up for the service. I keep getting an error message stating that connecting to the radiusIM servers was unsuccessful. Oh well, I'll keep trying. Nonetheless, radiusIM looks like a pretty interesting way to see who is around you, or near a certain location.
