Bill Gates stepping down as Microsoft chief engineer
In big, but not especially surprising, news, Microsoft has announced that founder Bill Gates is stepping down from his role as Chief Software Architect, to be replaced by current CTO Ray Ozzie. Over the next two years, Gates will be making a transition from full-time with Microsoft to part-time there and full-time at the Gates Foundation, the health and education charity founded by he and his wife Melinda.
