Skip Firefox's 3 second wait before installing extensions

MR Tech Disable XPI Install Delay

After reading Jordan's post explaining the reasoning behind the 3 second wait that is enforced in Firefox before you can install an extension, I feel compelled to let you in on a little secret.:Although you definitely should wait the requisite 3 seconds, as Jordan's post explains, you don't necessarily have to. I know it's wrong, and I know I shouldn't be telling you this. But if you're a punk, like me, you can use an extension released by MR Tech that allows you to bypass the infuriating 3 seconds when you just can't wait to get that new extension installed. Of course I'm obligated to remind you that by installing this extension (or add-on if you're running the Firefox 2.0 beta - yes, it's compatible with both) you're refusing to take advantage of some of Firefox's built-in security. And, realistically, given the number of times you install extensions, skipping the 3 seconds isn't bound to get you back any significant amount of time. But, since I'm personally not taking my own advice on this matter, I can't expect you to either.
