Use PopFly Game Downloader to nab your faves before it shuts down

Microsoft may be pulling the pin on Popfly, but that doesn't mean you have to kiss your favorite games goodbye.

What's that you say? You didn't even know there were games on Popfly? Well, there are - and some are actually pretty fun.

Over at Coding4Fun, they've released a handy tool that allows you to save the games you enjoy forever and ever. Or at least until you grow weary and decide it's time to delete them from your hard drive to make room for something else.

Make sure you've got the .Net 2.0 framework and Silverlight installed, you're going to need them!

Search over 15 million songs with Worry About You

WorryAboutYou
It's hard to take a site called Worry About You seriously, especially when they claim that their search engine will direct to you to over 15 million songs. In an attempt to overlook the bizarre name choice, we're just going to refer to it as WAY from now on because Worry About You is possibly the most irrelevant Web 2.0 name in history.

Despite the fact that they might be prone to exaggeration and might need a lesson or two in brand marketing, the site works pretty well. We tried a bunch of different searches, from obscure eighties one-hit wonders to every cover of Wild Horses we could lay our hands on and WAY always delivered.

They give you the choice between streaming the song or downloading it, not that we're encouraging the latter. The site follows in the footsteps of countless other web-based mp3 search engines that are anything but legal, but it doesn't really differ much from its predecessors, apart from offering the service in six languages.

Morpheus p2p network loses in court

MorpheusAnother one bites the dust folks, well not yet. Morpheus, the p2p file sharing network owned by StreamCast, lost its case in court. The network, like many others is now in danger of being shut down because of copyright infringement charges. LimeWire was similarly sued by the RIAA in August, as well as Grokster, Napster, Kazaa, and many others. Some of these networks have been shut-down, had to shut-down, or have regrouped and come back reborn like Napster. Morpheus still holds out hope for some sort of appeal to work in their favor, but at this point the prospects don't look too good, at least from my small corner of the great and powerful blogosphere. Where Morpheus ends up remains to be seen, and despite their court loss, there seems to be some light at the end of the tunnel at least for consumers, with a few studios and companies starting to see that DRM-less music may be the way to boost sales.

E! gets its Apple on

E! on Apple's iTunesE! is teaming up with Apple and bringing all of us Entertainment junkies their programming available for purchase and download on the iTunes Music Store.

E! will be dropping new episodes of its famous Girl Next Door series, as well as The Soup, Dr.90210, and the Simple Life's new season on iTunes, for $1.99 per episode.

It is great that E! has devled into this new era of downloading video online, Im just not sure how successful it is? Is charging $1.99 to downloaders effective? Im sure they will make money by offering the videos online, just how much? I have yet to download any videos through Apple's iTunes. When i need my video fix, i head on over to YouTube or Google Video.

Maybe Im missing out here? How many DLS readers pay for videos on iTunes?

The World's Hardest Game 2.0 - Time Waster

So, just how good at time waster games are you? Think you've got the stuff? Well, The World's Hardest Game 2.0 doesn't think you do. Yes, amazingly, it's possible to have a sequel to a game called "The World's Hardest Game". It doesn't seem logically possible, since if the first one was actually the world's hardest, how could another one come along and share the moniker? It made me doubt the name in the first place. That is, until I tried the game. The mechanics of the game are very simple. You are a small red square, ...
