Find out who else is sick through Who Is Sick, a sickness map mashup
This interesting site focuses on current and local sickness. This Google Maps mashup aims to keep people aware of the illnesses that are going on in their areas by plotting runny noses, coughs, fevers, head aches, muscle aches, and stomach aches. Who is Sick's mission is to provide that sickness information to the public, so they might not have to deal with the hassle of hospitals or doctors.
The people behind the sickness map are supposedly healthcare professionals that are working to move this into a user friendly and valuable information location for the public. It's certainly an interesting new approach to a mashup for the healthcare industry, who have been lacking in the mashup category. Think of it as Web 2.0 for hypochondriacs.
We aren't health professionals here, but if you feel like you should visit the doctor you should do so and not rely on a site like this to tell you otherwise.
