The Pirate Bay launches image hosting service for some reason
Torrent tracker, The Pirate Bay is launching yet another side project. The team has already announced that it's working on a video sharing site, and a stealthier way to download files using BitTorrent. But first, they want you to look at some pretty pictures. The Pirate Bay's latest project is called BayImg, and it's described as a "free uncensored image hosting" site. This may or may not be a response allegations that Flickr is censoring images uploaded by users, but it kind of makes it sound like BayImg could become a repository for child pornography.
There is a line on the home page that reads "As long as your pictures are legal they will be hosted here," but there's not definition of "legal." Somewhat surprisingly, a look at the tag cloud shows more video game images, LOL cats, and cartoons than porn... so far.
