Google and BEA working on a mashup deal
Google mashups are hot stuff, and many people are taking advantage of the Google Maps API to create map masterpieces that either showcase their interests, or show us where their business locations are. So what happens when you mix Googles technology with a portal application development company? We'll have to wait and see, but Google and BEA Systems are talking about a partnership that could let organizations create mashups between enterprise portals with Google Maps. BEA's Adrenaline technology enables portal applications to run web sites using AJAX and iFrames. Google has supposedly handed BEA some special API's to play around with and talks have been taking place for a few weeks. There have been no outcomes reported yet.
With Halloween fast approaching, it's a great time to get in some practice defending your territory against zombies. In Graveyard Shift, you take aim at zombies and other creepy-crawlies, blasting them into splatters of cartoony green guts. It's a casual first-person shooter, and it's very easy to get the hang of - use the mouse to aim, click to fire. Graveyard Shift has at least 15 levels, and it might even have some secret stages I haven't unlocked yet.
