Online Desktop Wallpaper Generator
Some web based applications are extremely simple, yet very useful. This is the case with Desktop Wallpaper Generator. Sometimes the ability to leave a note for someone that they can't possibly miss on their machine is just the ticket. Or maybe you're a network administrator that needs to leave reminders for your users, or make multiple machines on a KVM switch easily identifiable. Desktop Wallpaper Generator lets you create a nice-looking wallpaper that includes any text you write right in the image file. Note that it seems to only work in IE, and in my experience creating 800x600 images gave the best results.

With Halloween fast approaching, it's a great time to get in some practice defending your territory against zombies. In Graveyard Shift, you take aim at zombies and other creepy-crawlies, blasting them into splatters of cartoony green guts. It's a casual first-person shooter, and it's very easy to get the hang of - use the mouse to aim, click to fire. Graveyard Shift has at least 15 levels, and it might even have some secret stages I haven't unlocked yet.
