Video Codecs explained
Video is, unfortunately, complicated. Probably the first thing that you will run into when dealing with digital video is the concept of codecs, and it can certainly be daunting. Of course, the best way to deal with a complicated topic is to learn about it. And if you're interested in video codecs and what they're all about, check out Atomic PC's article called Everything you ever wanted to know about video codecs. While it's not actually going to answer every question you might have, it's a very well-written article that starts that the beginning, and quickly goes through the evolution of video codecs and what they currently mean to you (and everyone dealing with digital video). Well worth the read.

With Halloween fast approaching, it's a great time to get in some practice defending your territory against zombies. In Graveyard Shift, you take aim at zombies and other creepy-crawlies, blasting them into splatters of cartoony green guts. It's a casual first-person shooter, and it's very easy to get the hang of - use the mouse to aim, click to fire. Graveyard Shift has at least 15 levels, and it might even have some secret stages I haven't unlocked yet.
