Videos on the Wii, care of StumbleUpon

StumbleUpon is a great way of discovering new sites that are out there on the web. I don't use it as often as I should, unfortunately, but I can see that changing with the recent innovations coming out of their fine web establishment. Basically how StumbleUpon works is that visitors to a site rank it by giving the content a thumbs up or down. When you stumble, you will only see pages that your friends or like minded stumblers have recommended, thus connecting you to content that you might never have come across. Now StumbleUpon brings this to their new video product that hooks up owners of Nintendo Wii's to videos that they can watch on their gaming devices. The new stumble.tv has been specially re-designed and set to launch with Wii's Opera browser in mind, making it easy for users to navigate through the video search, channel menus, and the ability to rate and recommend videos on their consoles.

In other StumbleUpon video news, there is a rumor that Stumble Video could be unleashed on other mobile devices in the near future. Look out for WiiAim as well, a way to chat to your AIM buddy list on your console.

Stumble Upon StumbleUpon.com

Stumble Upon LogoWhile doing some poking around the traffic stats here I stumbled upon a domain I had not heard of but sounded interesting. It was StumbleUpon.com so I went over to check out what the site is.

What StumbleUpon is, is an interesting new way of "stumbling upon" new sites. Once you register for free you can download a tool bar for Internet Explorer (they also have a FireFox extension available). Using the tool bar you give sites "Thumbs Up" or "Thumbs Down" ratings which the system uses to match up sites from people who has the same ratings of sites.

You can view a demo at the site. Check out screen shots after the jump.

The World's Hardest Game 2.0 - Time Waster

So, just how good at time waster games are you? Think you've got the stuff? Well, The World's Hardest Game 2.0 doesn't think you do. Yes, amazingly, it's possible to have a sequel to a game called "The World's Hardest Game". It doesn't seem logically possible, since if the first one was actually the world's hardest, how could another one come along and share the moniker? It made me doubt the name in the first place. That is, until I tried the game. The mechanics of the game are very simple. You are a small red square, ...
