Pac-Xon - Today's time-waster

Pax-Xon is a new take on your traditional Pac-man game. In the game you're a Pac man like character, and your goal is to cover 80% of the board in blue without touching a ghost. You do that by traveling across the screen drawing lines. If you enclose an area with lines that doesn't contain a ghost then that entire area turns blue, if a ghost touches your line in progress then you lose a life.

There are a couple of power-ups that can occur. Cherries make you move faster, Bananas make ghosts move slower, and ice cream will make ghosts stop all together. You can also turn the tables on the ghosts by eating a blinking circle which, much like the power pills in the corners of the original Pac Man, give you the goods and make your little muncher able to eat the ghosts.

Draw Play - Today' time waster

The idea behind Draw Play is fairly simple: create a line for your mummy to walk on that gets it to the flag. You draw your line with your mouse and control your mummy using the arrow keys on your keyboard. The game starts off pretty easy with your mummy in the bottom left hand corner of the screen and the flag in the top right, with nothing standing in your way. As the game progresses though you are faced with spikes and rotating objects that make getting to the flag a little more difficult. There's no time limit and no set amount of lives, so you can literally be stuck on the same level all day.

Meal or no meal? - Today's time waster

"No mindless trivia. No tricky stunts. Just $1,000,000 worth of food, and it's all for one question...Meal or no Meal?"

In Meal or No Meal? You start by selecting a tray to keep to the side from 26 available dinner trays. You then eliminate dinner trays in small groups with each tray containing a food item worth somewhere between $.01 and $1,000,000. After each group of trays the dinner bell rings and the chef makes you a food offer forcing you to decide: Meal or No Meal?

Gamoku - online games for Pocket PCs?

Gamoku - bombsquadGamoku is YAOGS (yet another online game site), but with a twist. While almost every other online gaming site on the planet caters to PC users, Gamoku is geared towards mobile users, specifically mobile users that can use Adobe's Flash player. This restricts the list of compatible devices to Windows Mobile 5 and Microsoft Pocket PC 2003 Pocket PCs and PDA phones, as well as the Nokia 7710 phone and 770 Internet Tablet. Of course, any browser with the Flash player plug-in running on a full-fledged PC operating system (Windows, Mac, Linux) can also play the games.

Right now Gamoku's selection of games is reasonable; as of the writing of this post, the game list is as follows:
  • 15 Puzzle
  • Air Hockey
  • Blackjack
  • Bomb Squad
  • Card Match
  • Dart
  • Drop
  • Freecell Solitaire
  • Golf Solitaire
  • Klondike Solitaire
  • Mahjong Solitaire
  • Marble Solitaire
  • Minefield
  • Mini Golf
  • Naval Conquest
  • Pyramid Solitaire
  • Rotation
  • Rotex
  • Snake
  • Spider Solitaire
  • Stack 4
  • Sudoku
  • Table Soccer
  • Toggle
  • Turbo Golf Solitaire
  • VGolf
  • Video Poker
The games are organized into Action and Adventure, Card and Casino, Puzzle and Strategy and Sport categories. So, next time you're bored but have an internet-enabled mobile device, maybe give Gamoku a try.

The World's Hardest Game 2.0 - Time Waster

So, just how good at time waster games are you? Think you've got the stuff? Well, The World's Hardest Game 2.0 doesn't think you do. Yes, amazingly, it's possible to have a sequel to a game called "The World's Hardest Game". It doesn't seem logically possible, since if the first one was actually the world's hardest, how could another one come along and share the moniker? It made me doubt the name in the first place. That is, until I tried the game. The mechanics of the game are very simple. You are a small red square, ...
