Abracadabra - OSX Widget of the Day
"Now you see it,. Now you don't."Abracadabra for OSX is a widget that gives you the ability to make files and folders on your computer appear to disappear before your very eyes. Files that are dropped into your magic top hat are hidden from users searching for them in Spotlight as well as most other applications on your Mac.
The hat is password protected, so when you're ready to view your files again you can pull individual files or all of the files inside out. The magic hat's menu can also be password protected to keep spying eyes and stray white rabbits from getting inside.
Like most magic tricks Abracadabra is an optical illusion, so it does not securely protect your files. It does however make them pretty difficult to find for someone who doesn't know what they're looking for.
With Halloween fast approaching, it's a great time to get in some practice defending your territory against zombies. In Graveyard Shift, you take aim at zombies and other creepy-crawlies, blasting them into splatters of cartoony green guts. It's a casual first-person shooter, and it's very easy to get the hang of - use the mouse to aim, click to fire. Graveyard Shift has at least 15 levels, and it might even have some secret stages I haven't unlocked yet.
