Gmail free cash scam on the loose

google gmail scamThere is a scam targeted at Google's Gmail users that tries to get some cash out of them.

The email states that the recipient is the proud winner of $500, and Gmail congratulates them. It goes on to say that Gmail has been giving out random cash prizes, and that the recipient is the lucky winner. Gmail users are instructed to follow a link, and follow instructions to get paid. The recipients are then instructed that there was a problem sending the payment, and to enter banking information, and a membership fee of $8.60.

Of course this scan is not Google, and nobody will actually win anything. It is yet again another clever coy at gaining a couple bucks from unsuspecting Gmail users. So don't click, just send it back to the spam box.

Is Google really a Cult?

You might think so given its numerous hardcore followers. Like me. That is just one of the many mysterious surrounding Google.

Many people thrive, and live daily on Google's search platform, and many product offerings like Google Earth, Google Maps and Gmail. They do nothing but speak the many praises of what Google is doing for the world, and wait, rather impatiently, for the next new upcoming beta release for that new Google offering.

I don't know if this is an upside from the eyes of Google, or not, seeing as how the majority of its cash comes from its advertising platform, and not its t-shirt sales, but Andrew Orlowski asks the question about whether Google is a cult or corporation? He is having difficulties deciding, and came to the conclusion that Google may seem to have a cult like following. They even hire individuals into the company that have a cult like mentality, and do nothing but praise Google, and obey its every word.

With all of Google's loyal followers, I don't think we have any worries of this ship sinking anytime soon. Google, and its cult following are in it for the long run.

New Google Gmail features on their way

Some new features are rumored to be on their way into Google's Gmail web mail application.

Garett Rogers checked out the source, only to find that the code for them is present, but the variables are set to false.

The new features in question are:

Deleting all spam messages - no need to select>all, then delete.
Apply filter to - creating and applying filters to messages, helping to keep mail organized

There is no news as to the release date of these new features, but there have been rumored sightings of individuals who have been getting the "delete all spam" button.

The World's Hardest Game 2.0 - Time Waster

So, just how good at time waster games are you? Think you've got the stuff? Well, The World's Hardest Game 2.0 doesn't think you do. Yes, amazingly, it's possible to have a sequel to a game called "The World's Hardest Game". It doesn't seem logically possible, since if the first one was actually the world's hardest, how could another one come along and share the moniker? It made me doubt the name in the first place. That is, until I tried the game. The mechanics of the game are very simple. You are a small red square, ...
