NetMeter - Another way to monitor your network connection
Yesterday we told you about FreeMeter, an open source project which allows you to keep track of how much dump-trucking you're doing to those Internet tubes. Download Squad reader Piyo upped the ante with NetMeter, another network monitoring app without the extra features of FreeMeter, but with a few tricks of its own. NetMeter isn't just transparent on systems running Windows 2000 or later, but also supports click-through, so your transparent NetMeter is also transparent to your mouse. That means you can lay NetMeter on top of anything with the transparency cranked up and never be forced to move it out of your way to get to another application awkwardly placed behind.
The application hasn't been updated in quite a while, but it's free, fully functional and works like a charm.
