Common Linux myths dispelled

Fanboy FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt), it comes from all sides of the computing landscape. The three most well known operating systems, Microsoft Windows, Apple's OSX and the open source Linux have been called everything and accused of almost anything you can imagine in one press outlet or another. Linux is lousy for games, Windows is a memory hog, OSX will force you get a Liberal Arts degree and recycle... but, I digress. We're here to dispel the myths, not spread them.

Stream your iTunes music to PSP

stream itunes to pspI've seen a couple of approaches to the whole "move your music around" thing, and obviously there's still no perfect method. If you buy Sony's ecosystem, it works OK. Apple's is good, but you are limited in devices. Microsoft seems to get better all the time with Media Center and a slew of devices... But Skatter Tech has a quick how-to on streaming your iTunes music to your PSP. Essentially it gets the PSP to subscribe to a live feed of your songs. The magic ingredient? iTunes-PSP-Server.exe appears to do the trick. Enjoy until the next firmware "upgrade" folks.
