Verizon takes another swing at AT&T, puts iPhone on the Island of Misfit Toys {Engadget}
Nov 8th 2009 2:31PM Eh, personally I don't like it. The ad pulls too much attention to the iPhone (which the ads are obviously trying to hint), rather than Verizon's own phones. By pointing out the iPhone's cool features as being so awesome, but covered by AT&T's lousy coverage, still makes the iPhone look like a good phone to buy, and detracts acknowledgment that HTC phones as being good phones too by not mentioning any specific features, and not even mentioning the price of Verizon's WinMo phone shown there.
You spend more time on MSN Messenger than ANYTHING else {Download Squad}
Nov 7th 2009 4:45PM I think the blogger (Mr. Sebastian Anthony) meant "Windows Live Messenger" not MSN Messenger, right?
Last I checked, MSN Messenger has died years ago, and very few people still use it.
I do use WLM every day though, and it's very handy. Yeah, a lot of my teenage friends use AIM (even though it's so crappy!) but I'm getting more people to try out and switch to WLM and people seem to like it better.

Nov 2nd 2009 7:02PM Looks like a fairly good desktop. Really does seem good for businesses.
HTC CEO says he could but won't make HD2 an Android phone, has to take care of Windows Mobile {Engadget}
Oct 29th 2009 5:50PM Are you serious? That's not how it works. It's all license through HTC, and phones running different hardware and drivers won't necessarily work for both OS. Why not get a phone that's better optimized, rather than something that can 'kinda' run both?

Oct 29th 2009 5:48PM "Screw you"? There's still Android phones from HTC. If you're not a fan of WinMo, whatever. Just to let you know, WinMo 6.5 is pretty good whether you like it or not.

Oct 29th 2009 5:43PM Wow, are you truly a person that works in mobile phone company? Has it never occured to you that maybe past WinMo phones could have ran on ruddy hardware specs, lack drivers, or other stuff? I guess not.

Oct 29th 2009 5:39PM Just so you guys know, I'm a consumer, and I WANT this baby running WinMo. Y'all can be haters of WinMo, but senseless bashing is stupid.
LG launches official site for GW620 Android phone, sort of {Engadget}
Oct 29th 2009 5:27PM I wonder where are all those WinMo phones LG promised.
Microsoft's MSN Direct service to shut down in 2012 {Engadget}
Oct 28th 2009 6:01PM Why should you be afraid? If Microsoft doesn't get enough users to make a service really operable, than it only makes sense for Microsoft to shut it down, even if it is a good service like MSN Direct. It's not an 'always' thing though.
I think the PlayForSure issue with not working on Zune had more to do with the content stores not allowing it. Yeah, it's a bummer it didn't support it (do you actually own a Zune?), but PlayForSure seemed to be on the verge of collapsing when the Zune was released. So maybe Zune not supporting PFS is a better decision.

Oct 28th 2009 5:38PM Quite sad really. MSN Direct service is pretty good. The gas prices and local events apps are very useful.
If only Microsoft promoted it more.
With Halloween fast approaching, it's a great time to get in some practice defending your territory against zombies. In Graveyard Shift, you take aim at zombies and other creepy-crawlies, blasting them into splatters of cartoony green guts. It's a casual first-person shooter, and it's very easy to get the hang of - use the mouse to aim, click to fire. Graveyard Shift has at least 15 levels, and it might even have some secret stages I haven't unlocked yet.
They key to getting good at Graveyard Shift is learning to use ...
