5-inch Android-powered Archos Internet Media Tablet landing in September {Engadget}
Jul 4th 2009 12:24PM What will make Android any better than Windows 7 on a tablet? For now, I'm sticking with Windows 7.
Windows 7 Beta automatic shutdowns begin today, RC users safe until March 1st {Engadget}
Jul 1st 2009 11:09AM @Paul: You said, "Here's a reason. It has a dock like OS X and a copy of Expose, something that Apple had like five years ago. The next version might have something like Time Machine, Spaces, Stacks, Quicklook, iPhoto, Garageband, iMovie, iWeb, iDVD and Photobooth"
Windows Vista already has had Shadow Copy (or what you would call 'Time Machine') since it launched, which it inherited from Server 2003. Microsoft already has something called Virtual Desktop Manager (what you'd call 'Spaces'), Windows Explorer has a Details pane (what you'd call Quicklook) and Windows Vista has its own simple set of creativity software. iPhoto, Garageband, iMovie, iWeb and iDVD shouldn't count because they're not a part of OS X technically. Photobooth is more of a play application, than anything.
Windows 7 will already have access to all these 'missing' features.

Video: iPhone copy and paste is a 'pretty incredible thing'... for 1999 {Engadget}
Jul 1st 2009 10:21AM @Paul: I took a look at the video you linked to, and I watched it, and I didn't need to replay the video to know how it works. Maybe you're a bit slower (that's not a bad thing), but I'm quite sure most people who watched that video probably didn't need to rewind it to see how it works again, because it's not the difficult if you can read a menu.
I also don't have too much experience with Windows Mobile phones, but it doesn't really seem that hard if you can read a menu. Sure, it's not as pretty looking as the iPhone's, but if you're literate you can understand how to copy & paste on a WinMo phone.

Microsoft outs educational, inspirational Windows 7 tour videos {Engadget}
Jun 30th 2009 1:24PM I don't think Windows is at all hard to use. I remember when I was first introduced to Windows 98, there were only a few things I didn't understand, so with a little help I got it. It really isn't that hard if you understand the terminology and the functions.

Ask Engadget: Best gaming laptop for under $1,500? {Engadget}
Jun 26th 2009 12:00PM Mac might be fine enough for gaming, but the fact that there are more games for Windows and that Macs don't run Windows by default, means this guy is going to have to shell extra cash to run Windows to play more games. That takes time, and money, and that's not be way to be gaming.
