Better bookmark manager coming to Google Chrome - here's what it looks like (video)

The new 'tabbed bookmark manager' currently looks like what you see in the screenshot. Rather than spawning a new application window as Google Chrome does, the new version opens alongside your current set of tabs (like the new tab page). Items can be dragged and dropped and you can create new folders and items via the tools menu. You can also sort and search your bookmarks.
The manager can also be accessed by typing chrome://bookmarks in your Omnibar, though I wasn't able to set it as my new tab page -- Chromium simply loaded the default one instead.
While the update is a welcome one for Windows, Mac, and Linux users of Chrome, it is an ideal feature for Google Chrome OS. Spawning additional windows isn't the best UX decision on a browser-based operating system.
Like most new additions to Google Chrome, the new bookmark manager is only currently available in the Chromium buildbot releases. Download a current snapshot build and try it for yourself, or check out a screencast after the break!
Chromatic is one of the best time-wasters I've recently come across. It's all about the gameplay -- no Flash graphics here. You play a "circle" (it doesn't really have a name in the game). You move around with the arrow keys, and you change colors with Z, X, and C.
You can either be red, blue, or yellow, and you can switch at any time during the game. Each color has different capabilities -- yellow can double-jump, while red has a longer dash (which is like a forward sprint, activated by double-pressing DOWN).
Each ...

Go here: http://build.chromium.org/buildbot/snapshots/chromium-rel-xp/42189/
And download the mini_installer.exe
Run that when it's done, wait a minute (you won't see a setup window appear), then check your start menu for a Chromium folder!

Look, another Google Chrome new feature inspired by Opera!
It's not "more Chrome-y", it should be "more Opera-y"...

Seems to me "more Chrome-y" just means "more Opera-y" to most people - isn't that why everyone keeps on saying the new tabs-on-top trend is "more Chrome-y" ...

Yup, that's total rip-off

Um, yeah... and EVERYTHING in Opera was inspired by Netscape Navigator... so can we please dispense with the "rip-off" B.S. - Who cares where the inspiration comes from, it's a great feature being added to an already great browser.

The problem is some browser developers (Apple & a few others) patented their new features to prevent competitors from improve upon their innovations. But then they go around snipping features from other competitors.
If Opera patented all their new features since the 90s & forbid competitors from improve upon their innovations, then all modern browser today will end up like IE6, or the now obsoleted Netscape Navigator.
The good news is Opera Software is one of the biggest anti-software patents supporter, graciously allow competitors to copy & improve upon their innovations all these years. So, the least we can do is give appropriate credits to creators who inspired many great features we enjoy in today's modern browsers.

I must admit that I wished for this when I first installed Google Chrome but I like my bookmark manager in a different window. Is there any way to get back or am I stuck with the tab?
