Tower of Greed: a vertical-scrolling platform Time Waster
Tower of Greed is (mostly) a standard platform game, except that the screen scrolls upward instead of side-to-side as you climb the titular Tower. The "greed" part is because the object of the game is to amass as many gems as you can on your way to the top. There are enemies and power-ups along the way, but you can't stop climbing until you find an exit, or you'll lose the game.Exits appear on every 5th floor of the tower, so you have to decide when you want to cash out your points and when to keep climbing. Along the way, you're faced with enemies, conveyor belts, and various power-ups - including time-stops and enemy killers. None of them are are deadly as that ever-ascending floor, however, so look out!
I don't know if this is a labor of love or merely the brainchild of four very gifted games designers, but Level Up is a really weird mash-up of gaming elements that you have probably never seen in a Flash game before.
