Fullmoon: delicious ten-minute Time-Waster

Fullmoon is one of those delightful little games where you almost don't want it to be over. A bit like Portal, I guess. You know the end is coming -- all too soon, usually -- but... you can't stop. The end be damned! You just have to shut your eyes, finish the last puzzle and pray there's a sequel (which I'm sure there will be in this case!)

This isn't your standard pixel-hunting point-and-click affair. It's actually a lot easier than most Flash games. This probably won't last you more than the ten or fifteen minutes it takes you to drink your morning coffee -- but that's OK! Games don't have to be long -- they only have to be enjoyable.

And Fullmoon is certainly that. From the dorky-yet-atmospheric music through to the very simple, silhouetted artistic direction, Fullmoon is a complete joy. As you can see in the picture above, you're shown something that the rabbit is looking for... and that's it. Your job is then to poke, drag and bounce around until you find the object.

Unlike a lot of Flash-based games Fullmoon is quite 'fluid'. There is less of the 'step by step' problem-solving and more of a 'discovery' approach to things. Click around. Observe what happens. String a few actions together and... voila! There are also a couple of puzzles where you will want a mouse rather than a laptop's touchpad as things can move quite quickly!

There's also one pixel-hunt puzzle which isn't quite as hard as you think. And don't forget that you can drag some objects...!

The only problem with Fullmoon is that it's over all too soon. Go play it now, and if you're the kind of person that takes longer breaks -- or you want something to toy with over lunch -- go have a look at some of our other Time-Wasters after!

The World's Hardest Game 2.0 - Time Waster

So, just how good at time waster games are you? Think you've got the stuff? Well, The World's Hardest Game 2.0 doesn't think you do. Yes, amazingly, it's possible to have a sequel to a game called "The World's Hardest Game". It doesn't seem logically possible, since if the first one was actually the world's hardest, how could another one come along and share the moniker? It made me doubt the name in the first place. That is, until I tried the game. The mechanics of the game are very simple. You are a small red square, ...
