You need to provide an email, from the looks of things. That is generally a good thing to mention. From the looks of the screenshot in this post, I have far better freebie resources available to me that didn't need an email address to "send a periodic newsletter" to. SmashingMagazine puts out a incredibly good quality resource once every week or two.
