Firefox 3.6 beta coming next week

For the most part, Firefox 3.6 will look a lot like version 3.5 of the browser. Mozilla is holding off on a major visual refresh until Firefox 4.0 is released sometime next year. But the update should bring a better session restore, improved page rendering, and overall faster performance and better stability.
As you can see from the screenshot of Firefox 3.6 Alpha above, Mozilla has also built a new tab-switching feature into the browser which allows you to see previews of each page. In order to enable this feature, you'll need to futz around with the about:config menu.

So, just how good at time waster games are you? Think you've got the stuff? Well, The World's Hardest Game 2.0 doesn't think you do.
Yes, amazingly, it's possible to have a sequel to a game called "The World's Hardest Game". It doesn't seem logically possible, since if the first one was actually the world's hardest, how could another one come along and share the moniker? It made me doubt the name in the first place. That is, until I tried the game.
The mechanics of the game are very simple. You are a small red square, ...

Like everyone else, you have it wrong according to the Namoroka Wiki page. The second beta was released late last month, the first RC will be released soon with a full release in November.

@Kris: According to the Mozilla Wiki, I didn't. I've been running 3.7 though so I really don't know what is going on with 3.6. Either way, though, I got my info from the official Mozilla site, figured it was accurate.

They've fallen behind schedule. That roadmap was too ambitious anyway.

No Josh! That Namoroka Mozilla Wiki page is 2 months old and the info there is OUTDATED and no longer accurate.
Haven't you looked at this page instead:

FF3.6b1 scheduled to be released October 15.
If Firefox 3.6 beta was already released on the official Firefox beta site, it would have said so.

yeah right. hahaha. that comment by Josh makes me think that he is SO gullible and naive. He should have checked the Firefox.com or Mozilla.com firefox beta page if 3.6 beta 1 was actually released there but of course Mozilla did not release it on time.
totally agree with Harsh as that old Namoroka schedule is no longer realistic.
heck, there may not even be a beta 2 of Firefox 3.6 after beta 1 as Mozilla has not made any future plans of a second beta. they just might go straight to RC1 after beta1.
