LastPass extension for Google Chrome now available, and it rocks

Well, gang, grab your parachutes, it's time to bail! The LastPass crew has released an alpha version of their Google Chrome extension, and it rocks. Check out the screens after the break!

Signing in to LastPass via the login button....

A look at the LastPass menu. It's at least as "smooth" an experience as the Firefox addon.

The LastPass preferences page

And yes, even the secure password generator is fully operational!
Having troubles getting the extension to install? Our pal Joe Siegrist offers the following four-step plan:
- Chrome's extension support is only available in their dev builds, so you must first install the dev channel of Chrome.
- Then, to install LastPass, point Chrome to: https://lastpass.com/
lpchrome.crx - If Chrome refuses to allow you to install it (it tries to save in a loop) go to Wrench -> Options and disable choosing where to download files (this will be fixed in next dev build).
- Finally, it is recommended that you disable the built-in password manager by clicking on the Options (under the customize and control 'wrench' button). Then choose the 'Personal Stuff' tab and select 'Never save passwords' and 'Never save text from forms'
LastPass for Chrome works extremely well, and I didn't encounter issues with any of the features I tested. If you use Chrome Dev and have been looking for a solid, secure password manager to use - go grab LastPass right now.

So, just how good at time waster games are you? Think you've got the stuff? Well, The World's Hardest Game 2.0 doesn't think you do.
Yes, amazingly, it's possible to have a sequel to a game called "The World's Hardest Game". It doesn't seem logically possible, since if the first one was actually the world's hardest, how could another one come along and share the moniker? It made me doubt the name in the first place. That is, until I tried the game.
The mechanics of the game are very simple. You are a small red square, ...

Mouse gestures are one of the MAJOR things I miss when I'm not using Opera. They really change what you expect to happen when you browse.

Try LiveEdge at http://www.zebware.tk/
It's free and works great with Chrome. It's very easy to use.

Oh, and here's the 'drag and go' plugin:

Very exciting! Except for the repeated crashing leading to the uninstall. Having some very good luck with Chrome in Linux for the most part, some of the extensions are hit-or-miss still.
Better Adblock, mouse gestures, zotero and I'm ready. Lastpass is not a dealbreaker.

Check out adsweep, http://www.adsweep.org/
Works lika a charm.

Yes we should mention that Mac and Linux are far more unstable than Windows at the moment but we'll be ensuring they all work in the future.

I don't think I took enough time to work with Adsweep, but I'll try again. It was a little overly aggressive on first look - wouldn't let me play wordscraper!
By the way, one of the things I'm really enjoying is the multitude of themes now available. Chrome with the earthy theme is so much nicer than the default blues.

@216: you could check out ChromePlus. It has mouse gestures and click and drag support baked in. http://chromeplus.org/

Nice. Lastpass is one of the few reasons for sticking with FF. This might change my mind for good..

CTRL + ALT + B to toggle the annoying toolstrip that the extension brings up after installing.

It is causing web pages to refresh on its own without any reason.

Sweet! Does Chrome support disabling tabbed browsing yet?

Chrome is based on tabs, I somehow doubt they'll be adding a toggle for tab support. I think you would do well to embrace the tab philosophy, myself.

Finally! Nearly complete now with Xmarks and Lastpass.
Just some better cookie management options.

I was waiting for this to come out to make Chrome my default browser. The only thing keeping me on Firefox was Lastpass.
Good job Lastpass!

I will consider switching the day Chrome and Roboform work together.
