Invisible Hand - Firefox add on to help you find sweet deals
Trolling around on the web for the best deal is tedious and time consuming. Invisible Hand, an add on for Firefox notifies you of better prices on items you are searching on the web with a discreet interface. It's so discreet you have to search for it but if you see a green arrow in your status bar, you know it's there.
When you start shopping on Amazon or Best Buy, Invisible Hand will pop up a message indicating if the item you are searching is cheaper at another retailer. (The camera I was looking at was cheaper by 1 cent somewhere else according to Invisible Hand). Since they're in beta, you might not get a notification for every item you search as the Hand is still growing their product and retailer coverage.
Currently, the Hand has 50 retailers in the US and UK, including some of the biggies like Amazon, Best Buy, Overstock.com, J&R, Borders, Toysrus, Home Depot, etc. And they are adding more which will only make the comparison shopping results better. I like the convenience of having price comparison information served to me, but you still don't get the full picture as shipping and handling aren't captured in Invisible Hand. Still, it's an easy way to get the good deals to come to you.
I don't know if this is a labor of love or merely the brainchild of four very gifted games designers, but Level Up is a really weird mash-up of gaming elements that you have probably never seen in a Flash game before.

What's the point? I'd rather use a comparison shopping site, such as http://www.TheFind.com or http://www.ValuValu.com... They're not limited to a few retailers.

Go to an on-line retailer, browse a product, if its cheaper elsewhere you will be told where to buy cheaper. If this is the cheapest price, you will be buying with the confidence that you are buying at the cheapest price.
This add-on can be used hand-in-hand with price comparison sites the two approaches don't contradict each other - try it and see
