Monopoly City Streets turns Google Maps into a game board
The building possibilities are also beefed up, with castles and skyscrapers. Chance cards have changed a bit, too: now they're used to build hazards on your competitors' property. To counteract hazards, you have to get a bulldozer card. With all of this building and demolishing, Monopoly City Streets sounds more like a hybrid of Monopoly and Sim City than a straight-up Monopoly game. Maybe, as the game's website claims, this will be epic fun. If nothing else, this is one time Google can be glad to hear its name in the same sentence as "monopoly."
The game opens today at 6 p.m. GMT / 1 p.m. EST, so you'd better be ready if you want to be one of the first players out of the gate and snap up your favorite property.

So, just how good at time waster games are you? Think you've got the stuff? Well, The World's Hardest Game 2.0 doesn't think you do.
Yes, amazingly, it's possible to have a sequel to a game called "The World's Hardest Game". It doesn't seem logically possible, since if the first one was actually the world's hardest, how could another one come along and share the moniker? It made me doubt the name in the first place. That is, until I tried the game.
The mechanics of the game are very simple. You are a small red square, ...

Hmm... Apache 2 Test page... Even if the game hasn't started yet, that doesn't look too good.

BUT MY VIRUSSCANNER gives suddenly a warning about the Nutcracker Virus in one of the URLS is the site already hacked? See url above for screenshot of virus message.

The site works, you need to add www to access.
Boo for Australian users. Took 5 minutes for the flash movie to load, only to be told that 'Monopoly City Streets' is not yet available in your country. FFS. Could you have not let me know that on the home screen?

Monopoly City Streets is the worst online game experience ever. I have simply lost interest in this game. Whoever is trying to run this pile of garbage should bin it and get out. What a waste of time. I never expected this from a company like Google.

I tried Monopoly City Streets. When the servers weren't down it looked like it could be fun. I managed to snag a few streets near the capital in Madison, but it took forever.
There's another game where you claim territory on a Google Map that I'm ridiculously addicted to. It's called Parallel Kingdom. It's a little simpler, but it came out first. I've been playing it for a few months already. I'm pretty sure its still free in iTunes.

well it seems to of had some rather nasty growing pains but works very well now. It is hard to figure out the best strategy. Small houses, big houses?
Also glad to see they are planning a reset after all the kinks are worked out and the cheaters are busted.

I am selling long and very long streets (above 1 Millions).
As they are quite difficult to find I think a little paypal contribution may be nice.
I am asking for:
1-2 Millions -> 2$
2-3 Millions -> 5$
3-4 Millions -> 10$
4-5 Millions -> 15$
5-6 Millions -> 25$
7+ Millions -> 50$
For info you can get me at this mail address: michelelole (at) gmail.com
Thanks and have fun!
