J.mp is Bit.ly in new, shorter clothes
J.mp has everything Bit.ly has, except the slot as Twitter default. Link tracking, history and user accounts can all be carried over from Bit.ly just by logging into J.mp with the same username and password. In fact, the two services are so connected that every Bit.ly link can be changed into a J.mp link, just by changing the base URL. If you really need those two extra characters on Twitter, you should definitely give J.mp a shot.

Yes, amazingly, it's possible to have a sequel to a game called "The World's Hardest Game". Okay, this has gone to far. How many different ways can you shorten a URL? I mean, okay. So there are a couple of "competing" url shortening services. Great. So maybe we can do the one blog post comparing them all and then be done with it for life?
I mean seriously, "one character shorter" is a feature of a URL shortener?
How about everybody just shortens URLs the way they want to and talk about things that are actually important - like stuff you, um, download.
URL Shorteners shorten URLs, we get it. Now lets move on.

Austen, I agree with almost everything you said, but I don't like that you shortened the word "too" to start it off.
This whole url shortening thing is just dumb. Do people really care about this?

I do like longurl.org which you can put any short url in and it tells you where it takes you.
