LogMeIn remote computer access beefs up free service
But the LogMeIn folks are getting to roll out a handful of new features including support for a Flash-based control that should work better with other browsers including Google Chrome, Safari, and Opera.
The new LogMeIn Free will also include the ability to wake some computers (depending on their hardware) from sleep using wake-on-LAN controls. The LogMeIn web site has also been redesigned and you can start using the new layout now by logging into beta.logmein.com.

So, just how good at time waster games are you? Think you've got the stuff? Well, The World's Hardest Game 2.0 doesn't think you do.
Yes, amazingly, it's possible to have a sequel to a game called "The World's Hardest Game". It doesn't seem logically possible, since if the first one was actually the world's hardest, how could another one come along and share the moniker? It made me doubt the name in the first place. That is, until I tried the game.
The mechanics of the game are very simple. You are a small red square, ...

I prefer Teamviewer.com rather than LogMeIn.

Me too.
And let's also consider it Teamviewer's achievement that LogMeIn is now free also. (free as in free beer).
How long for Netviewer, GotoMyPC et al to follow suite?

LogMeIn has offered a free version for years. The company also offers subscription service for advanced features.

@Brad: You are right, I stand corrected. I was confusing this with another product.

Having used both LMI & TV3&4 for several years, the feature that makes LMI (Free) beat all others hands down is its efficiency while maintaining quality (speed on small bandwidth) =the LMI Display Driver. Yup, no competitors at all in the FREE market that I have come accross.
The only cons are poorer file sharing facilities in Hamachi (separate app!!)compared to TV4.

I also prefer TeamViewer.com for family and friends so nothing needs to installed on their PC, but for home PC and servers I use LogMeIn free to access them throughout the day from anywhere with just a browser.

Teamviewer is fuss-free. Got an error code trying to install LogMeIn, and life's too short.

I use logmein all the time. their new design seems to take up more room. I haven't tried it on my pda yet, but that might make it a little harder to use.
I use logmein on 7 computers and my pda, it works great and is fast.

I love VNC. Not dependent on any service. Use your own domain and set a password. You can access it from a PC/Mac/iPhone.
What more do you need?

Is the Wake on Lan stuff included in the Free accounts? I can t see it, it looks to me that it's only available on the Pro2 accounts paid.
I hope I'm wrong. I have to use an iPhone WOL app to wake my home PCs before I can remote them atm and this feature would remove that step!
