Fugly Friday : Bannock County Bluegrass Festival

Poor layout, dancing graphics, overuse of capital letters; I've learned to forgive quite a bit. What bothers me most about Bannock County Bluegrass Festival is their complete and utter disrespect for the trichromacy of the human eye. Purple, Cyan and Green should never have existed in the same universe, much less a single web page.
In fact, the only single point upon which those three colors should converge is in a low-rent stripper's eye makeup. As Marge Simpson's mother once said, "Ladies pinch. Whores use rouge."
Nevertheless, if you happen to be near Pocatello, Idaho this weekend -- and I'm sure you must have your reasons. S'ok, we won't question your judgment -- check out some Bluegrass and beer. But, if you run into this guy, for the sake of everything holy and decent, please offer to buy him a color wheel.
[Thanks Peter!]
So, just how good at time waster games are you? Think you've got the stuff? Well, The World's Hardest Game 2.0 doesn't think you do.
Yes, amazingly, it's possible to have a sequel to a game called "The World's Hardest Game". It doesn't seem logically possible, since if the first one was actually the world's hardest, how could another one come along and share the moniker? It made me doubt the name in the first place. That is, until I tried the game.
The mechanics of the game are very simple. You are a small red square, ...

OH MY LORD, I wonder if anyone from Bannock county reads this blog besides me... I think every single website associated with bannock county has a similar look and feel (eg the Bannock County website), but the color choices were especially bad on the bluegrass site.
To add to the Fugly quotient of Bannock county, Pocatello (the county seat) was voted by the North American Vexillological Association as having the least attractive city flag (out of 250 contenders). The slogan on the flag is "Proud to be Pocatello".... sigh.

Oh, and the third thing you should love about Idaho is "Spuddy Buddy", the official mascot of the Idaho Potato Commision. (Or Napoleon Dynamite, filmed only an hour away from Bannock County )

I live here. I apologize for that site.
Great people, friendly place to live, but some of the most anal retentive, color blind web and real life designers in the world. Must be from this college.
Our town has a flag?

Sheesh, I almost forgot. If you're in the area try and make it to see the bluegrass. There are some really great musicians!

Thank you so much for featuring the fine musical event that is the Bannock County Bluegrass Festival. Please don't let the fact that the web site hearkens back to the glory days of web design circa 1993 deter you from music that goes back even further. I'm going out on a limb to say that questionable color schemes on web sites are not exclusive to Bannock County.
Yes, people from Bannock County read this web site and no, floral print suits will not cause vision loss if you look directly at it.
Thank you,

Ohh Matt...STOP.
I am from Pocatello, and this website hurts every part of me to see. this is why people think Idaho is a joke...
and you are not a tech specialist, you are a news reporter.....
I work in cyber security, and I would never claim to be a "tech specialist" because that is a very dumb title.
I have literally designed better websites on a cell phone, just because
if the bluegrass festival wants to be taken serisouly, they should act like it and not pump out a bunch of random idiotic graphics and .gifs
