Mozilla Weave version .6 boosts performance, adds new features
Apart from the old Weave sync kung fu - bookmarks, history, and passwords - the newest version can now keep your Personas up to date across multiple machines. Performance has gotten another boost, and there's a new about:weave page that allows for easier management of your preferences and Weave account.
[update] The first-time sync also now includes the option to specify which direction you want to sync. That's a welcome change, since it means no more deafult Firefox bookmarks sneaking into my Weave profile in the cloud.

So, just how good at time waster games are you? Think you've got the stuff? Well, The World's Hardest Game 2.0 doesn't think you do.
Yes, amazingly, it's possible to have a sequel to a game called "The World's Hardest Game". It doesn't seem logically possible, since if the first one was actually the world's hardest, how could another one come along and share the moniker? It made me doubt the name in the first place. That is, until I tried the game.

At first I was relieved to read the changelog, seeing that they supposedly overhauled the preferences area. I'm disappointed that it seems to be just a convoluted graphical overhaul.
What we need is some sort of preference setting on how often we want the browser info synced. That's a really simple request I would think. It's a lot better now that Weave won't sync unless the computer is idle, but sometimes I'll have my hands off the keyboard and mouse for a few seconds because I'm reading a story on a page, syncing will commence without me asking it to, and it'll sometimes continue indefinitely due to a glitch. We need more control over how often it syncs, simply.

i have been really trying to get weave working flawlessly, and its gotten better, but tis still funky sometimes.
1. synch when computer is idle doesnt seem to work for me
2. sometimes it just spins and spins even if i leave for an hour, i have to kill firefox in the task manager eventually.
3. at one point i ended up with about a thousand duplicates. luckly there are some fine plugins for scrubbing out the duplicates.
one thing that helped was doing some serious cleaning of the old bookmark file. man i had some old useless junk in there. and i agree with you there needs to be better control on when and what direction to synch.
