OfficeTab adds tabs to Word, Excel and Powerpoint
You can choose to add tabs to some or all of the apps OfficeTab supports, in case you want them in Word, but not in PowerPoint, for example. OfficeTab doesn't take up much space, it just keeps your tabs in a standard-sized toolbar. You can even view your documents side-by-side in the same window, which is handy for comparing drafts. OfficeTab works in Office 2003 and 2007 on Windows XP, Vista or 7. It's made by a Chinese developer, so both Chinese and English versions are available.

So, just how good at time waster games are you? Think you've got the stuff? Well, The World's Hardest Game 2.0 doesn't think you do.
Yes, amazingly, it's possible to have a sequel to a game called "The World's Hardest Game". It doesn't seem logically possible, since if the first one was actually the world's hardest, how could another one come along and share the moniker? It made me doubt the name in the first place. That is, until I tried the game.
The mechanics of the game are very simple. You are a small red square, ...

Too bad, this seemed like a great program, but it constantly uses at least one of my CPU-cores and Word becomes extremely unresponsive. :-(

Is there any chance this works with Office 2010? :D

I think this program actually supports Office 2010 since the first post on its site is about Office 2010. I don't understand what they are discussing in that post, nor I have Office 2010 installed on my PC. But you can have a try.

after loading 3 documents and 3 spreadsheets my total cpu is 0% and i'm not detecting any memory issues. everything looks good so far. the link to the app on the webpage was a bit obscured to my english reading eyes toward the bottom, but the translation for install and configuration is nearly perfect.
thanks!

Office XP (which is what we have here at work) is obviously absent from the small list of compatible versions in your writeup, but I gave it a shot anyway to no avail.
I can't say I'm disappointed, though. I was intrigued, but it probably would have been counterproductive for me because I probably wouldn't have been able to have separate documents open on each screen of my extended (dual-monitor) desktop.
It appears that you can compare documents side-by-side on a single monitor, but I need more of the documents to be viewable than a single monitor would allow.

Hi DownloadSquad
Firstly, thank you Jay for featuring my post here. It has being an honor.
Secondly, replying to Monkey Mike. If you still want to open Microsoft Word separately in a new instance with OfficeTab installed. You Can!! Simply in the run command box either from the start menu or press ctrl + R and type:
For MS words: "WINWORD.exe -p"
For Excel: "EXCEL.exe -p"
For PowerPoint: "POWERPNT.exe -p"
Basically it force the app to open in a new process. If typing the command get repetitive just create a shortcut. =] Hope that helps.

Mike,
I, too, have a dual monitor setup. Have you tried opening a second instance of Word? You can then open your second document in that instance of Word and place it in the second monitor.

Vim already supports tabs... and for the real office things (like tables): Is there also an OOo add-in available?

Anyone notice anything related to this after install?

I get an error in excel when trying to open .csv files with this program installed.
No problem before installation and no problem after uninstalling.
Sad. I really like this add-on. It works great with .xls files, but I use .csv file dumps from a mainframe system constantly.
If there's a fix please let me know.
Thanks.
Kevin
