Johnny Rocketfingers 2 - NSFW mature Time Waster
First things first, we need to put up a big Not Safe For Work / Kids warning on this one. This Time Waster is strictly for adults 18+. Johnny Rocketfingers 2 is a point-and-click puzzle game that follows the story of the title character through an adventure that involves mature themes, situations, violence, and naughty language. If you're easily offended, you'll probably want to take a pass on this one. And if you're not at least 18 years old, please don't continue reading.
Still here? Okay. This game is pure escapist fun, but as stated above, it's not for the faint of heart. There is animated drinking, drug references, gang references, fatal fighting, guns, and lots of cursing, both in writing and in the in-game sound. In fact, I'm probably forgetting a few things that ought to be on this list. Let's just say if it was a movie, it would be rated R. For example, the first scene shows Johnny buying drugs from a dealer, and when the dealer quotes the price Johnny says simply "Don't like" and proceeds to bash the dealer's head in with a board, then escape with the drugs. Of course, the dealer's gang comes after him, and now it's your job to help Johnny out of his sticky situation.
From a gameplay perspective, Johnny Rocketfingers 2 uses the tried and true point-and-click method, where you search each scene for items to add to your inventory or things to act upon, and you must think creatively about ways to use your inventory items together.
The best tip I can give you is that if you get stumped, do a slow, methodical search on the screen with your mouse - it will change into a hand icon when you can click on something, and usually it's mostly a matter of finding the right thing to click on to move the story along.
There are a number of spots in the game where you get the opportunity to converse with in-game characters. This consists of a multiple choice set of canned responses, but for entertainment value, make sure to choose the smart-ass ones and ones that obviously aren't going to propel the story forward, at least at first.
If you complete JR2, you can always go back and play the original Johnny Rocketfingers, but it might be a little disappointing; the style is similar, but Johnny Rocketfingers 2 is so much more polished both in terms of gameplay and visual style that it's a bit of a letdown. At the same time, if you enjoy the creator's style, you'll still get something out of the original one.
So, just how good at time waster games are you? Think you've got the stuff? Well, The World's Hardest Game 2.0 doesn't think you do.
Yes, amazingly, it's possible to have a sequel to a game called "The World's Hardest Game". It doesn't seem logically possible, since if the first one was actually the world's hardest, how could another one come along and share the moniker? It made me doubt the name in the first place. That is, until I tried the game.
The mechanics of the game are very simple. You are a small red square, ...

I remember this flash game. I played it a few years ago. Actually, I want to say it was almost 10 years ago, but I don't think I recall correctly.
Any who, it's a pretty cool game.
