Thunderbird 3 Beta 3 adds tabs and more
You can now open a message in a new tab by double-clicking it or hitting enter, and Thunderbird saves your open tabs when you quit. For Gmail users, Thunderbird 3 has a lot to offer. It properly recognizes Gmail's special folders, including Sent and Trash, and uses All Mail as your archived message folder. Setting up and configuring accounts is now easier, too, and it works almost automatically with Gmail. Other new features include Smart Folders that allow you to combine multiple mailboxes, and per-mailbox column customization.

So, just how good at time waster games are you? Think you've got the stuff? Well, The World's Hardest Game 2.0 doesn't think you do.
Yes, amazingly, it's possible to have a sequel to a game called "The World's Hardest Game". It doesn't seem logically possible, since if the first one was actually the world's hardest, how could another one come along and share the moniker? It made me doubt the name in the first place. That is, until I tried the game.
The mechanics of the game are very simple. You are a small red square, ...

I love thunderbird but I am not keen on the layout and look with this version, not quite right yet.
Postbox - Based on thunderbird but is something I have been blown away by. Lovely interface and a better tab design and use then this one along with other cool elements, loving it.
It now has addon support and soon as it intergrates google calendar etc it will be my mail client of choice.

so, the price for the Postbox is out. Just out of curious, but are you gonna pay 30 $ every time it gets update ?

Can anyone comment on how well it works and integrates with Leopard? I've been looking for something with a little more functionality than Mail and the last time I tried Thunderbird, I was sorely disappointed with how it integrated.

The major disadvantage of Beta 3 is that you can't make it use short headers anymore. You'll have to add some lines to your userchrome.css (explained in the mozillazine board).

So far, I like it a good bit better than Beta 2. I like the read mail opening in tabs. Anyone know if there is a way to set it so that when you compose a new mail message it would also appear in a tab rather than a new window?
I saw where to set the tabs for reading mail (it is that way by default btw), but no sign of composition setting for it.

I love Thunderbird 3, and beta 3 is just awesome. Hopefully it will be released before Ubuntu 9.10 comes out so that it will be in the repos!

The reason why I downloaded Thunderbird is because they have awesome add-ons for my mac computer.
Since beta 3 came out, the add-ons I downloaded aren't compatible anymore, unless the maintainer updates it.
So what I'm trying to do here is to go back to beta 2 so I can use those add-ons. How do I do this? Where can I download Thunderbird 3 BETA 2? (NOT thunderbird 2.0.0.22)
I went to mozillamessaging.com already and they always lead me to download beta 3. suckers! >.
