Windows 7 box art, packaging gets official(er)
As you can see, the packaging is pretty simple and actually looks a lot like the Windows Vista packaging. But while the cover art may not have received a major redesign, the overall packaging has. The amount of packaging weighs 37% less than previous Windows packages, and the plastic case is recyclable. There's less inside the box as well. All you get is the case, a paper sleeve, and a brief "getting started" guide.
You can find a picture of an opened box after the break.

Actually it looks more like the XP packaging. The only thing it has in common with Vista's is the shape, and even then it still opens like a standard DVD case instead of the swivel-out.

Hey cool, it actually *opens* like a box this time too! Kudos to Microsoft for realizing that if your box needs instructions on how to open it, you've done something horribly wrong...

Why are they calling it "Windows 7"? Shouldn't it just be "Windows Band-Aid"? "That last one we programmed was crap...here, try this one (fingers crossed)!
lol.
Maybe microsoft could call on Apple's programmers for help here. lol. Why does microsoft always make personal computing MORE complicated instead of less? Just get a Mac and don't use MS.
