Microsoft Security Essentials (Morro) leaked - here it is in action.

Less than 24 hours later, there's a torrent available on one of the Internet's favorite sites (which shall remain nameless until someone inevitably posts it in the comments). At last, we've got a leaked MS antivirus tool to remove trojans from our leaked Windows 7 builds!
The download is tiny. The XP version is just under 8MB while Vista's installer is less than 5MB. It looks as though SE will provide solid protection for Windows systems, and it includes all the features you'd expect from this type of app like scheduled scanning and updates, customizable default actions, context menu integration, and exclusions. Idling, SE uses less than 4MB memory when idle and between 2-6% CPU and no more than 8MB when running a full scan on Windows 7.
I've got some more screenshots today as a result, but be warned: they're really not that much more exciting than what you saw yesterday. You can check them out after the break.
Edit: because of my recent irresponsible surfing, you can see SE catching and removing a trojan. w00t!
Edit: Worth mentioning that my system was running NOD32 up until now. Unsure why it never spotted the trojan.
Make sure you read the EULA before installing - it clearly states that you'll only be able to recover $5US if something goes horribly wrong with the program.
Thanks for the heads up, Paul @ MoDaCo!

With Halloween fast approaching, it's a great time to get in some practice defending your territory against zombies. In Graveyard Shift, you take aim at zombies and other creepy-crawlies, blasting them into splatters of cartoony green guts. It's a casual first-person shooter, and it's very easy to get the hang of - use the mouse to aim, click to fire. Graveyard Shift has at least 15 levels, and it might even have some secret stages I haven't unlocked yet.
They key to getting good at Graveyard Shift is learning to use ...

Will someone just post the link? I saw a torrent, but it was pre alpha, so I want to be sure to find the most recent one that is portrayed in the above screenshot. Just post the link! Thanks!

None of these seem to work with Vista 64bit with a multicore processor, I get an error, or something in a different language ever time.

I'll be getting this for sure and I'll be dumping my bitdefender: total security 2008. Even though I still have a year left and for some reason I can't link my Windows based PC to my Xbox 360 with bitdefender.... Grrrrr

NOD32 is the best and it will remain that , cuz if it couldnt catch the Trojan there r several reasons:
1- trojan is made by microsoft it self
2- there werent any update from ESET it self at that time
3- its a new trojan
4- its not a trojan or harmfull file
and since i had NOD32 for more than a year i didnt hav to format my laptop or suffer any ******s*-h*-i*-t from viruses
and even my university , has changed that crappy kaspersky to NOD32 after i told them to , and i showed them the perfect prove
hhhh funny i tried to plug my flash drive and the computer went nuts and the CPU hit 100% and all that bcuz of kaspersky which poeple like it and i dont knw why hhhhhhhh
LONG LIVE NOD32 u r the best

Nod32 had 2 releases in like 10+ years and in the past couple of years they went from 2 to version 4.
IMHO, version 2 was brilliant. Ever since then, it is not the resource hog that Norton was (need to check the new version, "they" say it has improved significantly), but it has been slower. I have had bugs where they say reinstall... really, it has just gone down hill.
I was a big fan of NOD32 for many many years, but as a company they are so inflexible (pricing - try asking for 11 machines and they offered next to no discount where as norton and others have 3 packs e.t.c.... I know about licensing e.t.c. but I just want this for home use)
Since switching to vista and 7, I have not used antivirus as I have not installed any programs and set UAC to maximum (don't care what others say, I love UAC!) If this uses the resources said in this article, I will be happy to use it!
