Thymer - easy web based project management
The interface has a one page design that allows you to see everything at a glance. It uses natural language processing so you can type what you think without having to remember specific commands. For example, if you're having lunch on Wednesday at the Yacht Club, you would type "@Wednesday lunch Yacht Club." The event will show up on your timeline.
I like how you can share tasks and projects with your colleagues as well as the ability to provide comments on different items. You can also drag and drop items exactly where you want. Thymer has 4 built in codes you can choose for your tasks - Discuss, Importance, Billable and Waiting for. It also allows you to add as many tags as you want to an item.
By design, Thymer eliminates fancy features the majority of people don't use or need. However, there are some items I would like to see such as SMS notification and coordination with calendar programs like Google or Office. The app is designed by Stunf, a Netherlands firm, and they are adding new features everyday. The latest are the ability to add tasks via email and Twitter.
Now in private beta, Thymer is free but when it is fully released there will be a subscription fee. Thymer has released 200 beta keys to Download Squad readers. Just enter the code DOWNLOADSQUAD. Be sure to let us know what you think.

So, just how good at time waster games are you? Think you've got the stuff? Well, The World's Hardest Game 2.0 doesn't think you do.
Yes, amazingly, it's possible to have a sequel to a game called "The World's Hardest Game". It doesn't seem logically possible, since if the first one was actually the world's hardest, how could another one come along and share the moniker? It made me doubt the name in the first place. That is, until I tried the game.
The mechanics of the game are very simple. You are a small red square, ...

First of all, thanks DownloadSquad.com for the beta key. Thymer may be good for individuals wanting a super simple GTD task list, but I didn't much like the interface. Being a visual person, I would have preferred a tool with a progress bar or something where percentages would show up. I think it would be easier to just write things down on a piece of paper.
I've been looking at project management and file sharing products for managing multiple people's tasks. Right now I use Google Tasks since it integrates with my gmail account and has one click integration with the accompanying email.

I see your point and I use Google mail and tasks and about everything else Google offers. But what I like about Thymer is if you're working on a team project, you can share your to do list/project items with your team and then leave notes for them. But what Thymer doesn't have that I can't live without is text notifications. They are lifesavers.

I was expecting more of a simplified BaseCamp - but my first run with it reminds me more of Remember The Milk.
I'm going to give this app a workout, but I can already see that there are significant limitations when using this for a group - forecasting, estimating current and projected utilization, and billing. It certainly needs an API (for example,to FreshBooks, etc.).
An excellent start.

@Downloadsquad - Thanks a lot for the beta key!
I´ve been searching for an easy team-task-planning app for a long time, and i think after giving Thymer some minutes, this just might be it!
It certainly looks VERY promising and as PhilB said: An excellent start!

If you’d like a tool for managing your time and projects, you can use this application inspired by David Allen’s GTD:
http://www.Gtdagenda.com
You can use it to manage and prioritize your goals, projects and tasks, set next actions and contexts, use checklists, schedules and a calendar.
A mobile version is available too.
