We've covered different ways of making Windows XP and Windows Vista look like Windows 7, but suppose you want to pull the old switcheroo and add a little old school flavor to your Windows 7 beta install?
If you're intrigued, @manan has done the legwork for you - assembling all the resources from the Windows 98 Plus pack into Windows 7-ready themes. Sounds, icons, wallpaper - they're all included and easy to get installed. Just download the zip file from hist blog post, extract it, and follow his instructions.
In no time flat, you'll be reveling in the "vintage" glory of classics like Jungle, Mystery, and Sports.
They're great and all, but I sure hope he puts together Hot Dog Stand soon.

I don't know if this is a labor of love or merely the brainchild of four very gifted games designers, but Level Up is a really weird mash-up of gaming elements that you have probably never seen in a Flash game before.

I'd run a Hello Kitty theme if it would make Win7 actually usable. Man, you talk about a bomb - 7 may be Microsoft's last desktop.

Hmm, really? I thought Se7en was Microsofts best hope. I find it an amazing experience, and you're bashing it.... while its still in testing?

Windows 7 task bar is a big step away from the current taskbar. I took me a few to get use to it and its quirks. I think alot of people will be turned of by the task bars and having to relearn basic operations.

I agree, people don't want to take the time until they have to... I know a lot of people still using the classic startbar instead of XP's current one
