Is Microsoft leaking Windows 7? Build 7068 hits torrent sites

Users who managed to download the DVD ISO already are reporting that it appears to be the genuine article. After the last half dozen leaks, I'm inclined to believe them at this point. As always, exercise caution if you decide to download and install from the image yourself.
The newest leak comes less than a week after 7068's build date - March 21, 2009. How are the files getting out so quickly? I have to believe that if Microsoft isn't responsible for the leaks themselves that they are, at the very least, more than happy to turn a blind eye.
After all, the RC is going to be made freely available in about a month for anyone who wants to download it. Every torrent download means a little less strain on Microsoft's servers. After witnessing the bum's rush users unleashed during the first few hours of the beta release, the gang in Redmond should be embracing P2P as a distribution method for the RC.
If you're downloading every new leak, don't forget you can dump the files to a USB flash drive or external hard drive instead of burning a DVD each time.

So, just how good at time waster games are you? Think you've got the stuff? Well, The World's Hardest Game 2.0 doesn't think you do.
Yes, amazingly, it's possible to have a sequel to a game called "The World's Hardest Game". It doesn't seem logically possible, since if the first one was actually the world's hardest, how could another one come along and share the moniker? It made me doubt the name in the first place. That is, until I tried the game.
The mechanics of the game are very simple. You are a small red square, ...

I don't think people shouldn't be so excited as to call it "epic" about windows 7, because if it hadn't been by the Vista backlash, we wouldn't have an actually good release. You can bet a ton of the stuff included on this one wasn't even planned to be included before Windows 8.
The best we can do is complain about every tiny error so they can fix it and make it run even faster and cleaner. They say than from build 7000 to 7057 400 fixes have been done.

mko,
I can't tell if you are full of shit or simply clueless. There is NOTHING in Win XP that I can't do in Windows Vista or Windows 7. Nothing.
This is just more Mac \ Open Source user FUD that is being spread around. My current personal fav is that DRM is rampant on Vista and Win 7 and you can't run whatever you want and there is a huge overhead because of DRM.....we'll ignore the fact that there has not been a single xvid video file that I have downloaded from BT that hasn't run flawlessly in WMP or through Media Center and streamed to my 360.
Seriously guys. Learn what you are talking about before you start talking trash. Inaccurate info makes you look stupid. And if this is intentional FUD...well then it just makes you look like a petty Mactard.
Later.

False. Windows 7 will NOT upgrade a BlackBerry's operating system.

Of course Microsoft is leaking Windows 7. Think of all the free press they're getting (like this post for example).
The fact remains, however, that Windows still has so many fundamental design flaws that haven't (and perhaps won't be) addressed by Microsoft. The way windows handles file permissions, for example. Or user permissions. The sad fact is that Windows was never designed to be a multi user system, rather it was tacked on when MS realised they needed it.

You might be right.
What I want from a home os is an explicitly single user system.
I'm using Windows XP. I tried using Vista for 2 days than removed because of "You cant do that". I want to have full control over my PC.

I am told that this build was leaked by a Japanese blogger:

Downloaded the 7068 x64 ultimate, ran in virtualbox....though micro$oft hit a rough spot with Vista - 7 makes up for this....just running in a vm with: AMD 64 x2 5000+, 1.5gb RAM (of 4gb), 64mb vid memory (of 512mb (geforce 8800 GT) if VB accesses it)....
...in a word: "Beautiful"
7 is going to be great when officially released.

Are you some kind of retarded? Or do you just like taking wild stabs in the dark at rating operating systems without actually running them?
And if you ARE running 7 and are getting errors, you've done something ridiculously stupid, like ripped out your hard drive while installing the OS. I've had less problems with Windows 7 beta than I had with OEM Vista. Most, if not all, people are on the same boat.

Microsoft could release every build to the public if they wanted to. Why would they need to secretly leak it and pretend not to know anything about it? Makes no sense, but I guess conspiracy theories are fun.
There are a LOT of beta testers (and other people with access to each new build), so naturally it's going to get leaked.

Microsoft releases builds to Manufacturers / Partners under NDA, for those in the industry just ask your account manager for an Invitation ID under the connect program.
These are released more frequently than the builds on MSDN and obviously being uploaded by someone, its not a MS problem these are leaked simply a manufacturer breaking the NDA.

i gotta say i've had no problems with vista, i gave my 10 year son a laptop for his birthday which has vista home premium 32 bit on it, and he's basically clueless when it comes to the do's and don'ts off computers, and even still, no
problems. i personally like they way ms win 7 is laid out its seems to be a little
more user friendly. i dont think i could ever go back to win xp. but you know what they say opinions are like assholes, everybody's got one, any who, i'am
off like prom dress, good day to all
