Firefox has 100% market share on one continent!

Yes, Firefox now has 100% of the browser market in at least two places: one, my house. Two, Antarctica. While neither of those stats is particularly impressive, you've got to start somewhere, right, Mozilla?
And it's not like Microsoft or Apple can claim the same thing - Antarctica is pretty much the only continent on Earth where a browser would even have a fighting chance to claim 100% of the market.
We can only wait patiently for the gang at Mozilla start producing t-shirts that proudly proclaim "One down, six to go."
edit: the graph above presents one additional point of discussion. Will a browser someday claim 110% of the market? Graphs don't lie!

So, just how good at time waster games are you? Think you've got the stuff? Well, The World's Hardest Game 2.0 doesn't think you do.
Yes, amazingly, it's possible to have a sequel to a game called "The World's Hardest Game". It doesn't seem logically possible, since if the first one was actually the world's hardest, how could another one come along and share the moniker? It made me doubt the name in the first place. That is, until I tried the game.
The mechanics of the game are very simple. You are a small red square, ...

Yeah. Those 17" MBPs need the subzero temperatures in order to not fail...

The reason the graph goes to 110% is because of the graph only went to 100% then Mozilla's share would read "off the chart" and you wouldn't know if their share stopped at 100% or went higher. Obviously, because we are talking about market share, it could never be over 100%, but from a graphing purist's perspective, there should always be extra space between the end of the visible axes and the highest amount.

Excellent. I must use this as a case-study in our downloadable management-training program and workshop sessions www.mcafeematrix.com . It's a superb example of over-reliance on stats. Are you ok with me using it? No problem, if not. Thanks for a laugh anyhow.

The shirt you mention just begs to be created. I'd buy one (maybe).

But a 100% market share is not something very positive. Monopoly has never been a good thing. Just look at internet explorer.
It's fun though :)

I'm not a computer geek but I am amazed at firefox's extenions. I love stumbleupon , interclue, morning coffee, fasterfox and many more. Firefox 3 is supposed to be the most secure browser of them all; especially for the little talked about 'drive bye' virus trojan attacks. Much more secure than IE-7. Can't comment on IE-8 but will check it out.
