Google offers calendar, contact sync app for iPhone, Windows Mobile
Google Sync is using Microsoft ActiveSync push technology to keep your contacts and calendar appointment up to date. Once you set up your phone, your information should update continuously, with no user intervention required.
In order to synchronize your contact list, your phone will need to support SyncML. Google Sync is currently in beta, which means it's a real Google product. But it also means there may still be some kinks to work out. It's also important to note that Google Sync will replace all the data on your device with information from the server, so you'll want to make sure to back up your data before trying it out.

With Halloween fast approaching, it's a great time to get in some practice defending your territory against zombies. In Graveyard Shift, you take aim at zombies and other creepy-crawlies, blasting them into splatters of cartoony green guts. It's a casual first-person shooter, and it's very easy to get the hang of - use the mouse to aim, click to fire. Graveyard Shift has at least 15 levels, and it might even have some secret stages I haven't unlocked yet.

But since Gmail adds every email address I've ever addressed to my contact list, my Google contacts list is a mess. Why would I want to sync that?

This only syncs your contacts in your 'My Contacts' group - and those are automatically added by google like before.

It doesn't sync every contact in your contact list. It only syncs the ones you have under the my contacts tab in gmail.

It works with my 2.1.1 Ipod Touch. I like it I'll definitely be using Google calendar and contacts more now.

Yeah, they don't say it anywhere in the article but Google is actually licensing Microsoft ActiveSync to push to WinMo phones. That's why it works so well. LOL!

I used PIM Backup (http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php?soft=1806) to offload my contacts, calendar, etc -- I had been using the free Mail2Web.com Exchange server previously, but that doesn't give me a very good view of my calendar, nor does it have the neat sharing features you get through GCal.
Unfortunately, once you sync any category to an Exchange server, it's bound there forever, and deleting the Exchange partnership actually *clears all items* that have been synced. So if you bound Contacts, Email, Calendar, and Tasks to a server, trying to change to a different server will wipe all those things out completely! The solution is to back up, delete the partnership, then restore the items from the backup. This is, of course, retarded, but MS hasn't fixed it and there's no reason to think they're going to start now.

There's nothing to fix really. You can't expect Microsoft or anyone to just indescriminately and magically know which contacts you want to delete when you're done using certain software. People would be screaming bloody murder if it behaved how you describe. BTW, if I'm not mistaken that is actually by design not an afterthought. Probably so people wouldn't walk around or exchange their phones with their entire contact list on it.
When it comes to Microsoft, I've noticed it's just convenient and easy to blame them for all our technology woes. Why don't we start blaming a random company every month so noone feels left out. I'll draw up a calendar and post it. January, everything is Google's fault they are the evil empire enemy of all that is good. February can be the He Man Apple Hater's Club month. I think it'll be more fun than just hating on one company. The merchandizing alone will make us a fortune.

Looks pretty cool on the surface, but doesn't seem to sync up multiple calendars. Luckily Ogg Sync does that.

I've set it up on my iPhone and it all works well and dandy.
The only issue I have now is the fact that the sync for google and address book.app on my mac no long sync together. Which is what I was hoping to get going in order to have my Mac and GMail contacts sync'ed as well. Remember once setting up Google Sync you can longer sync your contacts using the sync option on iTunes. Does anyone have any kind of work around on this? I have Plaxo already but unfortunately Plaxo only syncs uni-directional with GMail Contacts.
