FixUp Restrictions helps undo malware modifications
FixUp Restrictions by Sotware Dragon is a handy little application that is designed to help undo some of the annoying effects of a malware infection. When launched, it will scan your system to see what - if any - restrictions are in effect and allow you to remove them by checking the corresponding boxes.
Granted, a lot of these repairs may already be handled by your favorite malware cleanup application, but it never hurts to have another tool handy to sort things out after a nasty infection.
The common ask.com toolbar annoyance does appear during the install, so make sure to uncheck all the boxes if you'd rather not allow it to load.
If you'd prefer to avoid the hassle altogether, just extract the .exe using an archive application like 7-zip and run Fixup.exe instead. Copy the folder to your USB flash drive to run it as a portable app.
Search for fixup on the Software Dragon page to find the download, or use the direct link on the screenshot in this post.
So, just how good at time waster games are you? Think you've got the stuff? Well, The World's Hardest Game 2.0 doesn't think you do.
Yes, amazingly, it's possible to have a sequel to a game called "The World's Hardest Game". It doesn't seem logically possible, since if the first one was actually the world's hardest, how could another one come along and share the moniker? It made me doubt the name in the first place. That is, until I tried the game.
The mechanics of the game are very simple. You are a small red square, ...

So I just installed this, and their "clean my dust" app (on the same list). The clean my dust app locked the computer by somehow disabling both my mouse and keyboard drivers - and one of the two installed the Ask.com toolbar in both IE and Firefox - and set my homepage to Ask.com in IE (which I only noticed because the rogue Firefox add-on led me to check IE).
Ironically the FixUp Restrictions didn't seem to notice the changes either it made, or their own other app made - so apparently it's at least a little biased.
Honesty I only installed these because I generally trust this site - please remove the link to this app from your site. It's making you look bad.

Nick, if you read the post the last two paragraphs mention this and how to avoid issues.
CCleaner tries to install Ask, too, FWIW.

Missed that Lee, thanks - still not worth the trouble. Pass on this.

Seriously dude, read the post. I warned against that specifically. If you quit reading our site because you didn't notice my warning, well, that's your choice.

The site SoftwareDragon is stealing software of other good site, deleting copyright info and packing them with Malware and unwanted tools (Ask toolbar).
For instance, their System Purification is a copy (look at their pictures) of the good PureRa of RaProduct.
