Hot Corners adds OSX-style magic corners to Windows
I'm a big fan of applications that extend the power of my keyboard, but I like being able to to teach my mouse some new tricks as well.Hot Corners is a application that allows you to assign a number of actions that occur when your mouse hovers over the corners of your desktop. Choose to show your desktop, lock your workstation, activate a screen saver, or launch any program on your computer.
In addition to assigning actions to the four corners of your screen, Hot Corners can add four mouse gesture actions. Hold the Windows key and tap X, and your pointer will move to the center of the screen. Mousing left, right, up, or down executes your pre-defined action.
A system tray icon provides quick access to disable your corners, gestures, or both.
Hot Corners is written in AutoIT3 and full source code is available for download from the author's site. It's freeware for Windows only, and is portable - just drop the program files directory onto your flash drive.
Update: Due to all the comments, I tested the download again. ClamWin reports it clean, as do VirusTotal and NoVirusThanks.Org. Those of you reporting positives, what AV are you running?

So, just how good at time waster games are you? Think you've got the stuff? Well, The World's Hardest Game 2.0 doesn't think you do.
Yes, amazingly, it's possible to have a sequel to a game called "The World's Hardest Game". It doesn't seem logically possible, since if the first one was actually the world's hardest, how could another one come along and share the moniker? It made me doubt the name in the first place. That is, until I tried the game.
The mechanics of the game are very simple. You are a small red square, ...

Crap McAfee calls Trojan as well which means no install here at work.
The author notes that it is ID'd as a virus by some due to a file placement.
Since it's source code available anyone want to muck about and make one that doesn't place the offending file in the windows directory.
I was very excited too.

Very disappointed. This program contains a VIRUS. Thats bad enough but the fact that you people (DOWNLOAD SQUAD) don't check these programs is very upsetting. I obviously was mislead about your standards

Gene, slow your roll. I scan everything I post on here. Please see the new note above, and feel free to tell us what AV you're using. ClamWin is pretty reliable, but I've double and triple checked now, and it still looks clean.

Let us know when it's not detected as a virus. I was excited to make my PC like my Mac, but oh well........

It creates and executes a tmp.scf file inside your temp folder. All that file does is show the desktop when the user asks. Maybe the author should give up this function or do it in a less suspicious way. But it's not a virus.

Symantec AV Corporate claims it's a virus too. I'm more likely to believe Symantec than some random developer out there. Nice QC Download Squad... I expect more from you. Seriously.

And yet ESET and ClamWin claim it's not. I definitely trust ESET more than Symantec as far as false positives go.
The developer has now released the source code. I'm confident the application is clean. I wouldn't have posted it otherwise.
